On Tuesday October 5th I’ll be issuing an on-air challenge on KNPR. October 5th is also my wife Jennifer Sils’ birthday. Luckily for me, she said all she wants this year is for her family and friends to donate to KNPR.

Our friends in Las Vegas in the entertainment community were hit hard by the pandemic-related shut downs last year. Many of us didn’t work for 14 months, and even now we’re not back to pre-covid audiences. But here we are, still in Las Vegas, still calling this city our home, still wanting to be connected and make a difference. Still wanting a strong, well-informed community. Still demanding rigorous journalism, news, entertainment, and meaningful local programing.

Maybe you can’t give what you did a few years ago, especially if you work in entertainment. That’s OK. Give what you can because community support makes up the largest share of funding for Nevada Public Radio. And my wife and I are proud to be a part of this community.
